When you get a space that you designed and built from scratch, the last thing you want to do is create a bland interior. Most of our clients want to create a space that uniquely represents them, rather than a cookie-cutter interior they’ve seen so many times before. Luckily, it’s easier than ever to create an interior that reflects your personality and tastes without completely breaking the bank. In this post, we’ll give you some tips and ideas on how to create a loft conversion that really suits you.
Shop Somewhere Different
This is really the simplest part – if you shop somewhere different, you’ll find something different. Try smaller websites, vintage fairs, markets, independent shops, or even just sites like NotontheHighstreet.com that offer something a bit different.
Luckily, you can even take this step without leaving the comfort of your home. Just explore a little more before going to your default option.
Pick a Theme
If there’s something you’re passionate about or an aesthetic that you really like, use that as a theme for your room. It doesn’t mean that absolutely everything needs to be covered in images that relate to it, but a few key features against a neutral background will make your interior more interesting.
For example, if you like the look of old maps you could look to use them as a wallpaper, or find furniture with a decoupage.
DIY to make it Truly Personal
If you really want something that nobody else has, the best way to go about it is to make it yourself. But if you’re not that handy, there are plenty of options to add your own touch without having to get your hands dirty. One of our favourites is printing off your instagram pictures into a poster.
