Most of the loft conversions we build are bedrooms; some of them are just guest rooms but some of them are created for family members who are coming to stay or even new babies. If you have a deadline for your loft conversion to be finished by, make sure you tell us! That way we can recommend ways to shave off time and can plan the build around your key dates so you have plenty of time to decorate and furnish your new rooms before your arrivals.
Has Your House Already Been Updated?
Most loft conversions can be built as a permitted development, meaning that you don’t need to go through the process of gaining planning permission. However, you can only have a certain number of permitted developments added to your home, so if you’ve already made changes (such as a new garage or extension) you may not be able to make any other improvements without planning permission. It’s essential that you know this before you start any building work, as you may have to pay to have it removed or face a large fine if you don’t follow the rules.

As you already have builders at your home, it’s a great time to make improvements elsewhere so you can get all of the work done at once. A lot of our clients make changes to their landings or even remodel kitchens and bathrooms when we’re working on their loft.
